projects, and the music itself; all of it is explicitly carved out of
our license. You can release it under
any license you want, GPL included, on
any platform, and you can
sell it.

Extension API
The Python API your extensions import. Open on purpose: there is no doubt about your right to write, publish and sell them.
Format spec & MCP server
The full .bloop file format. Your projects stay
readable by other tools — and by you, forever.

The three extensions shipped with the app. Copy-paste them, gut them, sell what you make. That's what they're for.

- Sell what you make with it — songs, samples, extensions, courses.
- Write and sell extensions, under whatever license you choose.
- Fork the open-source components and do as you please with them.
- Share extensions with anyone, directly, right now — no store, no approval, no cut.
You may not
- Redistribute the app itself — app stores, package repos, mirrors, pre-installed systems.
- Run it on Windows or macOS without a commercial license.
- Bypass the licensing or strip the copyright notices.
- Call your thing “BeepLoop” — the name and logo aren't part of the deal.
Want to do one of these anyway — package it for your distro, ship it on a device, roll it out across a school? Just ask. Separate permission is cheap and the answer is usually yes.
